Make America Rock Again!

Last Thursday my original plans for the evening went from vegging out to rocking out! Around 5 PM I get a phone call from my BFF saying she just purchased $20 tickets on Groupon to see Scott Stapp. Next thing I know I'm at The Paramount in Huntington waiting to see the Make America Rock Again Tour!  I am SO happy I went because I ended up seeing 5 absolutely amazing bands that I probably wouldn't have seen otherwise.

First up was Adelitas Way.  I had heard the name of the band mentioned by some friends who had seen them before and loved them, but other then that I knew nothing about them. I now completely agree with those friends! They were fantastic and after the show I made certain I bought their CD!

Unlike Adelitas Way, Trapt the next band, I knew all about! I was actually a big fan of theirs back in the day! In fact they were a big reason why I ended up going to the show in the first place! I had never gotten the chance to see them perform live and I enjoyed myself immensely getting to rock out to songs I hadn't heard in a very long time!

Once again the next band, Sick Puppies, I had heard the name of before but knew nothing about. And once again I was blown away by their performance and had to make sure I got their CD after the show!

Next up, Drowning Pool, I only knew their big song "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor", and let me tell you when they played it, the place went insane!

Finally Scott Stapp, the voice of Creed, took his turn on the stage. I have been a HUGE fan of Creed's since practically Day 1. Although I do greatly miss Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips and Brian Marshall (no offense to Scott's incredibly talented band!), I loved every second of Scott's passionate performance, singing songs that have meant so much to me over the last 20 years.

Needless to say it was an absolutely amazing night and I'm so glad I went!

Hanging out with Mark Goodwin and Bryan Scott after the show!
